As a partner to players in the film and audiovisual industry in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, ALCA supports works, their authors, producers and manufacturers, from the writing stage through to transmission to audiences. ALCA promotes the emergence and diversity of creation and the cultural development of the region. ALCA examines applications for support for feature films, audiovisual fiction, animation, documentaries and short fiction.
OBJECTIVES
The agency pays particular attention to the artistic and cultural quality of projects, supporting creation and production and helping to consolidate the professional and economic fabric of the region. With a budget of more than €7 million, the development of the film and audiovisual industries is a key part of the policy of the Conseil régional de Nouvelle-Aquitaine. It has three main objectives: cultural, economic and regional development. In this context, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region wishes to reaffirm its support for creation in all its diversity and for authors, in particular by encouraging the emergence and support of new talent on its territory. It also wishes to develop the Regional Images sector, in a structuring and professional approach, in order to contribute to the best conditions for qualified employment. With the help of the departmental councils that support the film and audiovisual industries, the total amount of aid for creation and production exceeds 11 million euros.
CHARENTES TOURISME

THE CHARENTE DEPARTMENT
By devoting over €2m a year to its film and audiovisual production support fund, the Charente department has the highest level of support of any department in France. Operated in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the CNC Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée, investment dedicated to the creation and production of audiovisual and cinematographic works exceeds €11M each year, making the Nouvelle-Aquitaine the 2ndᵉ region in France after the Ile de France.
